Experience Tuscan life from Corte Armonica – a beautiful villa nestled in the Fiesole hills overlooking Florence. Pietro Porcinai designed this luxurious and stylish retreat in 1964, and it has since been renovated according to the principles of Feng Shui.

Every corner of Corte Armonica reflects wellbeing and beauty, and all the rooms have been exquisitely furnished with attention to colour and materials. Your host, Elisa, has spent the last few years restoring the house and making it into an oasis of beauty and harmony using antique furniture and her collection of far eastern objects. Although a tranquil retreat, the villa boasts all mod cons such as fast internet connection, satellite TV, a library and beauty treatments by appointment.

Broad windows overlooking nearby Fiesole and Florence bring light into the rooms, along with a sweeping vista of the Fiesole hills and surrounding woodlands. As well as extensive gardens and fruit orchard to be enjoyed, at the end of the wooded area lies a swimming pool with a waterfall.

Nature is an essential part of the breakfast menu at Corte Armonica as well. The continental breakfast is carefully selected according to organic standards, and all produce from our own gardens is grown according to these same organic principles. By prior arrangement you can also indulge in a beautiful organic candlelit dinner, served with a stunning panoramic view in the exquisite dining room.

About Your Hosts

Elisa is an eclectic and curious host with many interests. She has a degree in Oriental Religions and she has always had a great passion for arts and craft. Elisa was once a successful jeweller and gemmologist and now enjoys many different crafts such as making lampshades and arazzi.
Elisa has spent the last few years restoring her house and making it into an oasis of beauty and harmony. Elisa has integrated into the domestic environment all the antique furniture and the family’s collection of far eastern objects. Her studies and research have become fruitful in the surrounding garden and Elisa therefore hopes to have created a wonderful place for adventurous people to meet and relax and for those who want to exchange their own experiences.

Out and About

Discover the edible plants of the local flora on a guided walk through the fields of Corte Armonica.
Explore the peaceful surroundings by bicycle (rental provided).
Visit the Etruscan town of Fiesole (4km) and the city of Florence (8km).
Get off the beaten track and dedicate a day to exploring the unspoilt mountains of Casentino.
Head to the coast at Pisa or Viareggio (one hour) and en route you will pass Montegrotto, with its modern spa and a thermal cave.
